I'm thinking of a trip to Halong Bay, love pictures of it. Smile

Is end of Oct / beginning of Nov a good time to go? I've checked a few sites, it seems to be quite safe then, no high chances of rain.

Would 5 days be enough for Hanoi + Halong Bay?

Any recommendations for this area?

I have not been to Halong Bay yet but went at least 20 times to Hanoi... October is quite safe (rainy season ends in September) but November would be better. After it can be cold.

5 days seem good enough if you want to limit your trip to Hanoi and Halong Bay. May be a bit too much.
